Hoggs Falls

Hoggs Falls is a small but beautiful waterfall located near Flesherton in Grey County, Ontario. It sits along the Beaver River and is part of the scenic Beaver Valley area, which is known for its forests, rolling hills, and parts of the Niagara Escarpment. The waterfall drops about 7–10 metres over layers of rock, creating a steady, peaceful flow of water that is especially strong in the spring or after heavy rain. To reach Hoggs Falls, visitors can park at a small lot off Grey Road 13 and follow a short walking trail through the forest. The hike is easy and takes only about 10–15 minutes, making it a popular stop for families and casual hikers. The trail passes through a quiet wooded area with maple, birch, and pine trees, giving it a calm and natural feel. At the viewing area, there is a clear spot to see the waterfall from across the gorge. The sound of the rushing water and the shaded forest surroundings make it a relaxing place to visit. In the fall, the area becomes especially colorful with changing leaves, and in winter, parts of the falls may freeze into ice formations.
